I am a Lecturer in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Melbourne where I am part of the Interaction Design Lab. Previously, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oulu in the Center for Ubiquitous Computing. I received a PhD with distinction (2015) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Oulu, and a BSc (2009) / MSc (2011) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute, University of Madeira (Portugal) under the Carnegie Mellon University | Portugal partnership.

Research interests include: Ubiquitous computing, HCI, crowdsourcing, civic engagement, social computing, public displays.
